V's Version

And speaking of gymnastics - I am happy to announce that through the hard work and determination of Pk over the last few years and with some generous help from Dani and my Dad (and a lot of chauffeuring by me) - we are now the proud parents of an official USA Gymnastics (yes - of the Olympics) gymnast. He is now on the team at Santa Cruz Sports Central with Vern as his coach. Pk celebrated yesterday by nailing a round off back handspring on the lawn of his camp cookout at Camp Kennolyn. Pk has worked very, very hard to get to this point and he is committed to the competitive process - so much so that he cut off all his hair (which is not allowed in competitions.) He looks very different!

It has been a blast to have his good friend from Brother Sun here for two weeks at camp with him. They are very much brothers and, along with the neighborhood boys, I love having a house full of kids!
