OK - I am forced (humbly, gratefully) to retract my most recent statements. I have found a favorite thing that I did not realize that I would ever want. I now have a favorite thing and I am not really sure that I can function without it now that I know that it exists. Her name (for some things are so special that one must name them) is Sgt. Gloria P. Sezalot. She was a gift from Dani's mother and her initials are G.P.S. Oh - yes - some people would call the little device a global positioning system but not me. Oh no. She is now our best friend. She tells us when we drive too fast. She has saved countless arguments between two stubborn directionally-impaired people. She finds streets that have no signs and the quickest ways through traffic. She suggests the nearest gas stations and restaurants - tells us of attractions in unfamiliar towns. She takes the stress out map-reading and navigating foreign streets. She's marvelous. She's amazing. We LOVE her. Really. My life will never be the same.
We are - by the way - in Port Orchard, WA with Alonna and family. Pk is psyched to see Malachi. He had a good ol' time at Terri T's place in PDX. We all did. It was great to see familiar fest faces and be able to chat over coffee and tea. We are super lucky.
